Tulip

This is an "enhanced" photo of another Tulip in our front yard earlier this spring.  This photo I like.  I think the light is better on this one and doesn't make the red color "runny" and pinkish looking.

Fix It Friday #1

This is my first Fix It Friday which is hosted by I Heart Faces.   This is the photo that we are using this week.
And this is what I did to the photo.

1. I cropped all the other "stuff" out of the photo so that I just had  "little man" to work with.

2. Then I used the antiqued feature in my program (Microsoft Digital Image Suite 2006 Editor).

3. And finally I added an opaque chalk filter to the photo.

I hope you enjoy the final outcome as much as I do!

SOOC Tulips versus "enhanced" Tulips

Earlier this spring I was out in my front yard taking pictures of our Tulips....Cause Tulip buds are a pretty good sign that spring is finally on it's way here in the Midwest.  This first photo is the SOOC version.  Personally, I like the originality of the photo.  The red color doesn't look "runny" to me....For some reason my camera goes a little whackadoodle with the color red.  Does this happen to anyone else?

This is the "enhanced" version.  I'm not sure that I like this one.  To me it SCREAMS "enhanced" and the red color looks "runny" to me.  Almost PINKish.

What do you think?  Which one do you like?

Good Morning

This was taken earlier this spring (right before the big "thaw") shortly after sunrise.

Giraffe

These are just a couple of shot's of one of the giraffe's at our local zoo.  I took these a couple months ago and was amazed at how close you can actually get to these large animals.
